Porting Trigger API
I have been trying to create a SC2 mapping wiki as well, and one of the things that I was really working on was a Trigger API. After finding this site, however, I have decided to scrap my project and instead move the information to here. I don't want to be going around editing things all over the place, however. I was wondering if an admin could help set me up with a page that could be used, as well as how they would like the API to look. (I found this page, and was thinking I would base it around that.)
On a semi-related note, is there a navbox template on this site? -- Abion47 13:32, 07 January, 2011 (PST)
- Thanks for choosing GalaxyWiki as the place to post your information! By help setting up a page, what did you have in mind? If you want to create a new Wiki page on here, just search for the name of the page you want to create, and then click the "Create the page "INSERT NAME HERE" on this wiki!" link to create the article. If you wanted something more elaborate, then more information would be helpful. As for how each API page would look, that example would be just fine. And at the moment, there is no Navbox template. I tried adding it (with other templates) manually when this site first came up and got a bunch of errors. For some reason, the Export page on both Wikipedia and MediaWiki wont let me add Template pages even with that button checked. I'll definitely look into adding this in the near future, though. We could really use it. -- DevliN 22:56, 7 January 2011 (PST)
- I just imported a bunch of Template pages from Wikipedia, and this is more screwed up than I thought. I'll have to go in and figure out why the Navbox template isn't working properly, so that will still be out of commission for a while. -- DevliN 11:00, 8 January 2011 (PST)
Flags wiki?
I'm wondering if a wiki gathering all of the "Flags" we can see in the Data Editor would be useful. I personally don't know everywhere where it is to be found, so I don't know how relevant that would be. -- Payne 15:17, 30 November 2010 (PST)
Old discussion on "completed" category
I thought the "Completed" section was going to be used so people that are done with an article can submit it for evaluation by an admin, which would then decide if it's incomplete and move it to the "incomplete" wiki or if it is done and would thus remove it from the list. I don't really see any relevancy into keeping a list of the "wiki requests that were done!". :/ -- Payne 22:40, 23 November 2010 (PST)

- It just makes sense to me... What is the need to keep track of the requested wikis that were completed more than the wikis non-requested that were completed? -- Payne 23:19, 23 November 2010 (PST)
- That sentence makes no sense to me, but okay. -- DevliN 00:11, 24 November 2010 (PST)
- Why did you put it back? It's a useless section. -- DevliN 13:45, 24 November 2010 (PST)
- I think we did not understand ourselves: my point was that you did not need to put the 2 articles that you had written in there since you are the admin and can thus already determine if they are worth being categorized as "completed" or if they should simply be moved to the "incomplete wikis" section. The list in this current article should just act as a "Hey, I've done this requested tutorial and I think it's ready. Could any admin determine if the article itself is considered as completed or incomplete?". -- Payne 01:21, 25 November 2010 (PST)
On a completely different note. I have seen two Jump Ability tutorials. One uses the Data Editor entirely, by launching a missile that looks like the unit doing the jumping, the other was through triggers with messy push and pull force effects. Cardinal 16:00, 29 November 2010 (PST)
