Vespene gas is one of the resources used in StarCraft II. It is harvested by worker units such as the Drone, SCV, and Probe from buildings such as the Assimilator. The basic workings and usage of Vespene gas has not changed very much from StarCraft. In StarCraft II, it is still harvested from specialized buildings, and it can still be manipulated with triggers.
