Specialize works similarly to Learn, as it allows units to buy certain upgrades for themselves in the form of effects.

The difference between an Effect - Instant ability with cast time and Specialize is that specializing is displayed in a progress bar below while the unit moves and fights (i.e. a Vulture's mine replenishment in the Wings of Liberty campaign).

Fields

  • (Basic) Ability: Name - The name of the ability.
  • (Basic) Ability: Info+ - The specific information for each of the 20 possible specialization effects. Here you can set the default buttons, flags, requirements, costs, and effects.
  • (Basic) Ability: Max Count - The maximum number of times the ability can be used. This is separate from charges set in "(Basic) Ability: Info+".
