::http://www.galaxywiki.net/wiki/UI_Editing <.< started this already, never got time to finish it though. Also, what m0rt said is correct but the override method should  get a mention in case someone finds it useful. The actual editing is essentially the same for both methods anyway, so that usn't much of a problem. --[[User:Jack|Jack]] 03:11, 13 May 2011 (PDT)

This is a work in progress. I planning on adding more images to better explain how the "pos=" values work,a s well as a few more samples for people to use. And for what it's worth, of course some of this is based on Helral's tutorial (much credit is due to his hard work researching this) but I've tried my best to write it from my own perspective and understanding. I found some of his explanations to be confusing without a visual aid, so my goal with this is to make it as clear as possible with lots of pretty pictures so no one else has that problem. -- DevliN 01:17, 13 May 2011 (PDT)

The method of overriding core UI files is not supported by blizzard (they said they will propably remove this functionality in future) - the problem is that the map will immidiatelly start crashing after each patch, as the core UI changes a lot, and the custom UI is a modification of the old one. You should write more about the second method, a file with just the modifications.--M0rt 03:05, 13 May 2011 (PDT)

This isn't about overriding core files. Its about using the same method Blizzard used to change the UI for StarJeweled and Aiur Chef, which they do support. This whole thing is about the method of using a file with modifications. -- DevliN 10:44, 13 May 2011 (PDT)
